For over 30 years we’ve been throwing parties.

Some simple, some opulent — all with delicious, restaurant-quality food. Food, service, and people are at the heart of our company.

Our Cuisine

 

Our company was founded by Read Phillips, a graduate of the Culinary Art Institute of Hyde Park. She has cultivated a culinary culture at Beets of high standards, wanting our guests to feel as if they are dining at their favorite restaurant when at an event, rather than stereotypical banquet food. Our menus include a wide variety of inspired items - everything from an entrée of duck confit, farro, escarole, arugula and currant gastric, to a host course of braised pork steamed buns. We also strive to create unique food upgrade experiences, such as a late night French fry bar, ramen bar, or donut flambé. We have partnerships with the wineries that sit next to our event venues and promote a wine country lifestyle in our cuisine.

Our Culture

 

Beets Hospitality Group is a family-run company. Our company employs 30+ full-time employees and 80+ part-time employees (servers, bartenders and setup crew). Our owners believe in a family culture that gives back to employees and the local community. This includes a generous full-time employee benefit package, yearly retreats for full-time employees, other team-building and educational opportunities throughout the year, and proactive support for local non-profits. Our culture is youthful, trendy, collaborative, caring and hospitable.

Our Company

 

Originally an off-site catering business that Read Phillips began in her home, Beets Hospitality Group has always maintained a focus on food and people. The company is now the in-house caterer and event management company for two premier event venues in the Bay Area. Our heritage of hosting meticulously executed events with attentive service and fine-dining cuisine shines through even today.

We are active in the event industry, attending and leading conference sessions, and a member of the Leading Caterers of America. We also employ the Ritz-Carlton service method in training our staff.
