What is your favorite thing about your job?

“I love interacting with people. From the initial communication with the client to working with the banquet staff in the execution of the event, my position provides me with multiple opportunities to connect with amazing people on a daily basis.”

 

What is your favorite quote?

When nothing goes right…go left.

 

In your spare time, what do you enjoy doing?

"I spend every spare second I have with my two children. This means my spare time is spent running around, playing in the dirt, and kissing “boo-boos."

 

When was the last time you had an amazing meal?

I am beyond lucky to work at two venues with AMAZING food, so I get delicious meals on almost a daily basis. Being behind the scenes with this stellar culinary staff is such a great job perk!

 

What advice would you give to clients?

Ask and you shall receive! If you are as detailed as possible with the expectations for your event, it will help us to ensure those expectations are met.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

I love solving problems and helping clients so they feel stress-free in planning their events. My favorite thing is hearing the relief in my clients’ voices when they realize they can trust me to take care of them and their needs.

 

In your spare time, what do you enjoy doing?

Playing with my two daughters (a toddler and infant) and soaking up all of their deliciousness. And, whenever possible, I love to bake, antique and enjoy the sunshine.

 

If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be?

An anniversary party so I can relive my wedding...really I just want an excuse to hire a band and dance the night away!

 

What was your childhood dream?

I always dreamed of being an event planner and a mom. I have been planning events and been in leadership roles for as long as I can remember. It has always been a passion for me. And, even younger than that I knew I wanted to be a mom. Both are incredibly rewarding. .

I’m detailed and thorough. I will ask a lot of questions to ensure I understand your vision and purpose for the event. And, I’ll help you achieve both!

What is your favorite thing about your job?

Executing the event and knowing that it is my job to assist the client behind the scenes. I love seeing my clients shine to their bosses and co-workers.

 

Fictional character you most identify with?

MacGyver

 

In your spare time, what do you enjoy doing?

I love spending time with my wife and six adult children. I also love to ride my Harley and Trek bicycle.

 

If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be?

I would throw a “thank you” party for my parents, wife and staff. I would thank them for everything they have done for me over the years. It takes a village to accomplish most things in life.

 

When was the last time you had an amazing meal?

When I was in France biking through the countryside with friends we stopped and had a meal of buttery cheese, fresh baguettes, salumis and a bottle of wine. It was an amazing meal with amazing scenery.

What was your childhood dream?

To perform on Broadway. Alas, my lack of talent put this to rest rather quickly...

I consider it a personal obligation to pay attention and document all the little details for your meeting, ensuring your event goes off without a hitch with nothing left to chance.

 

What do you do in your spare time?

I love spending time with my husband and kids, attending Sharks hockey games, and enjoying the company of friends. When I am alone, I love to read historical fiction or bake.

 

What advice would you give to clients?

Clearly communicate to us what the goal of the event is. We can engineer the event to achieve your objectives by understanding them. Always try to think of a couple of unique details to make your event different and special.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

I’ve always enjoyed meeting new people and helping them with their event goals. In my job, I get to show people our beautiful venues and discuss all the possibilities in respect to menu and design. It is the creative part coupled with the social aspect of my job that I love.

In your spare time, what do you enjoy doing?

Cooking for my family and friends and just hanging out with them. Anything outdoors, especially running or on the water. My favorite type of party is a summer BBQ in our backyard. Grilling something yummy, chilled pitchers of beverages, music playing and lawn games.

 

Why can clients count on you?

After more than 30 years of event planning experience, my clients can count on me to not only hear their needs and ideas but to also offer creative solutions to enhance their event. I love the challenge of working within the parameters of budget and goals to see what more we can do to enhance the experience.

 

What advice would you give to your clients?

Communication is always key but what does it really mean? Often with events, there are committees involved and many opinions. Start with a large circle of ideas and goals and then narrow it down to something everyone can agree upon – that is the foundation of the event we will build on.
